DodgeBow : The Event
Montreal is known worldwide as a fun and dynamic city with endless options for recreational activities. In spite of this, there is one sporting activity that, while rapidly taking off across the US and the rest of Canada, has been surprisingly absent from Montreal’s entertainment scene – that activity is Competitive Combat Archery.
In 2015, three friends from Montreal had an opportunity to play the sport while on a road trip; to put it simply, they just couldn’t get enough. Once back in Montreal, they were on a mission to bring Combat Archery to their city – and after a few months of planning and late nights, DodgeBow was born.
DodgeBow is an exhilarating team-based archery combat sport. It is a hybrid of two popular activities: Dodge Ball and Paintball. Two teams of up to 10 players are called to arms and battle it out in the arena for 45 minutes of action-packed fun. Friends choose to strategize together or compete against each other in besting the opposing side.
The sport is played with safe, flat-faced, foam-tipped arrows and bows specifically designed for safe friendly gameplay. The playing field and game modes are reminiscent of Dodge Ball while the extreme element of archery delivers the adrenaline rush of paintball, but without the physical (or financial) pain that tends to come with it, making it accessible to a much wider audience.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Different Game Types

Bullseye
Targets are placed on either side of the playing field. For a team to win, players must strike out all players on the opposing team or hit all enemy targets before the time runs outs.
No Loyalty
When a player is struck by an arrow from the opposing team, they must cross the arena and join the opposing team. The team that crosses over the most players wins.
Man Down
When a player is struck out, instead of leaving the playing field, they sit on the ground. A special “medic” player, equipped only with a shield, is granted the power to revive eliminated players. If the medic is struck out, the team loses its ability to revive players.

Capture the flag
6flags (3 per team) are set up in the safe zone across the arena. Teams must successfuly capture and carry the opposing team’s flag back to their base.
Golden Arrow
Six golden arrows are introduced onto the playing field. - Do I need to find a team of 10 people to play?
Absolutely not! Even if you are one or two players, you will play with those having purchased a ticket in the same timeslot. - But I’ve never used a bow and arrow before.
Now is your opportunity to try it out in a unique setting! After our 15 minute orientation session, we can assure that you will have sufficient knowledge to play and have a good time. Everyone is welcome and it is fun for players of all levels! - Does it hurt?
Not at all! Unlike paintball, this activity can be played without any heavy protective gear. We supply face masks and arm guards for your added safety. - Game Capacity:
There are 20 available spots per time slot for a maximum play scenario of 10vs10. The minimum capacity is 8 players for a game scenario of 4vs4. Should the minimum number of players not be attained in a time slot, DodgeBow – Tir à l’Arc inc. reserves the right to make arrangements with the partcipants to enter a different timeslot. If no other timeslot is suitable to the participant, we will issue you a full refund on your ticket. - Conditions:
